Scott Sierens is the host of the Your Life, Your Money Podcast. He is the President of Sierens Financial Group in Elgin, Illinois.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Civil Engineering and worked 14 years in project management before changing careers. Despite enjoying overseeing multimillion-dollar projects, he missed the personal touch of working with individuals and families and wanted to make more of a direct impact on people’s lives. So, he transitioned his strengths in planning and fiscal responsibility into a financial planning career.
Creating an independent practice was important to Scott. No corporate pressures. No sales pressures. Just do what’s right for people. He’s able to provide a comprehensive planning approach and put the best interest of his clients first.
Scott actively participates with the local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter and Rock Steady Boxing, which teaches boxing to individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. He enjoys spending time with family, working on home renovation projects, hiking, traveling, and taking his cousins on their annual trip to the water park.
